Remote control cars are great and all but the only problem is that they are limited to the confines of the land. Not so with a hovercraft. No terrain is an obstacle for it. It can travel on land, water, ice, snow - no problem. Just like the real thing our remote control hovercraft is just as at home on land as it is on water. Its three powerful motors will thrust it along at 15km per hour floating on a cushion of air.
The RC Hovercraft's versatile nature means that you can power it along from the land straight into your local parks pond with ease, Just keep a look out for any stray wildlife as you get carried away with your new toy.

So how does it the hovercraft work? Basically a powerful fan sucks in air and compresses it and then blasts it out from underneath the hovercraft. The tight fitting rubber skirt (don't get excited this isn’t Xena the warrior princess we are taking about) keeps the air confined to the underside of the craft as the air is pumped out. This creates a cushion of air for the craft to float on. Now the 2 powerful fans on the back of the craft provide the propulsion to power it along, and rudders provide the steering. Learning to control it is all part of the fun, but it is easy to pickup.
The batteries last about 8-15 mins. They are powering 3 powerful motors so the use time isn’t too bad. If your battery does starts to give out just as you are in the middle of a lake, don't panic. They tend to run down slowly giving you enough time to notice and get your beloved hovercraft back. If the worst does happen and it is left stranded on the water it is cunningly designed to float allowing you to recover it (all be it by having to get your feet wet). Don't forget of course that your RC hovercraft is equally at home on dry land and so none of this will apply anyway!
