| When Urban Junkie was given a demo of the Buttkicker linked up to a DVD of The Matrix, we were mightily impressed. It gave a genuine home cinema experience with deep rumblings coming through the sofa. But now their is the Buttkicker® LFE. It is smaller, more responsive, more efficient, more powerful and even more affordable than the original ButtKicker®. So what is it? The ButtKicker® LFE is a small, linear motor, which reacts to an audio signal sent by an amplifier. It is similar to a loudspeaker, but instead of moving a cone, and transferring sound waves through the air, it attaches to seats and floors, and sends low frequency sound directly into the listener's body. The effect is amazing. It takes two senses to perceive full range sound. We hear sound, but we also feel sound, especially low frequency. Traditionally, it takes big speakers, moving tremendous amounts of air, to feel the low frequency of sound. People like loud concerts because they want to feel the sound pressure in their bodies. The ButtKicker® LFE reproduces the feeling range of audio in a more direct way than through air. The perception is actually better and sound pressure disappears. It can be attached to the floor, to a raised platform on which your sofa/chair stands or to the frame of the furniture itself. It operates between 5-200Hz and lets you feel as well as hear the sound. Excellent for all films but it works especially well with big loud action flicks such as The Matrix or Star Wars. | ||

Tech Spec: View the Power Amps Manual Here No preamplifier is required. For home theatre, just use a RCA cable to go from your processor's subwoofer out* to the RCA input on the ButtKicker Amplifier. Then, use 12 gauge speaker wire from the amplifier to the ButtKicker. It's as simple as that - plug 'n' play.
